Cutting solutions for industrial recycling and handling

At Castillo, we manufacture industrial blades for processes where precision, durability and cutting stability are key. Our activity is divided into two main areas: Recycling Blades and Conversion Blades, two specialised lines of work that allow us to offer solutions adapted to different materials, machines and production rates.

We work with companies that need to improve the performance of their teams, reduce downtime and optimise the lifespan of their cutting tools. To achieve this, we manufacture to drawing, sample or reference, selecting the most suitable material, geometry and treatment according to the application.

Although each division meets different needs, in both we apply the same way of working: process analysis, custom manufacturing, and a focus on real plant performance. The goal is for each blade to adapt to the equipment, the processed material, and the working conditions to achieve a more stable cut, greater durability, and lower operating costs.

Recycling Blades

The Recycling Blades division is oriented towards shredding, granulation and volume reduction processes in sectors such as plastics, tyres, paper and cardboard, wood and biomass, textiles, scrap metal and WEEE.

These solutions are designed for demanding working environments, where wear resistance, toughness and edge stability make all the difference. In this division, the selection of the blade material, hardness and cutting geometry are adjusted to the type of waste, the level of abrasion and the actual behaviour of the machine.

Converting Blades

The Converting Knives division is focused on more precise and continuous cutting processes, where repeatability and finish quality are fundamental. Here, we develop solutions for sectors such as packaging, food, paper and graphic arts, pharmaceuticals, metal, textiles, wood and cardboard.

We manufacture blades for web cutting, shearing, trimming, perforating, die-cutting, sealing and finishing operations, including circular, straight and toothed blades, dies, matrices and specific tools according to the application. This line is especially oriented towards continuous production machinery, where a well-designed blade improves process stability and reduces rejects.

Bespoke manufacturing and technical support

In both divisions we manufacture to measure, adapting dimensions, holes, sockets, edges and materials to ensure safe assembly and stable operation. In addition, we accompany manufacturing with technical advice, to recommend the best combination of material + geometry + treatment depending on the type of work, the material processed and the state of the equipment.
